Excuses

My computer was broken and we had to get a new one and then windows vista was not compatible with my camera... these are just excuses for why the blog hasn't been updated in a while. These pictures are from today and I will update retrospectively as I have time.

Brother and Sister Bath Time

Lola usually takes a shower with Daddy (in fact she hasn't been in her bathtub since her first bath when Gamma came to visit), but tonight we let Noah and Lola take a bath together (with a lot of supervision).

Lola liked it, but didn't find it very relaxing, as every few seconds she got hit with water that Noah "accidently" splashed on her. Noah, however, wants to take a bath with Lola every night.

Swimming

We took the kids swimming since it is so hot outside. Unfortunately, Noah moves too quickly in the pool now for me to get any good pics of him. His free-style is now recognizable as a stroke and he can take breaths without looking like he is drowning (most of the time).

This isn't the first time Lola has worn this cute bikini - but the first time I forgot the camera. This was Uncle Ka-Ka's pool and it was just a little cold to take Lola all the way in. She did however get her feet and legs wet and she didn't get mad at all. Soon she will be a fish just like her brother.

Adult-Proof Fireworks

Mommy had to work for the 4th of July so we had to stick close to home.

We spent the afternoon and evening with Courtney, Bo, Memaw, and Papaw.

We started with some fireworks from Target. Let's just say that nobody read the directions and Courtney, M.A. and Papaw spent a lot of time trying to light the pull-string on something that was meant to be a popper and not a firework.

After that, Daddy and Courtney went and got some real fireworks. Noah spent much of the evening saying, "this is the best day ever!!" Not that he is dramatic...

Then, after the fireworks, we went inside to have yummy ice cream cake made from ice cream sandwiches.

Unfortunately, the cake was a little too frozen and it was too late to thaw it. We ended up eating it like a popsicle, but boy was it good.
